The Hidden Cause of Your Joint Pain, Brain Fog, and Fatigue

From a previously recorded webinar

Some wording has been changed to make for ease of reading.

You came here today because something is not right. Maybe it is your energy. Maybe it is your joints. Maybe it is your brain. Maybe it is all of it.

You probably think of your health problems as separate issues.

The joint pain is one thing. The brain fog is another. The fatigue is something else entirely. Maybe you have a different doctor for each one. Maybe you have been told they are unrelated.

They are not unrelated. And Here's where everything starts.

Your brain is the master controller of your entire body

It controls your blood sugar. Your blood pressure. Your hormones. Your inflammation. Your immune system. Your metabolism. Everything.

When your brain is doing its job, these systems run smoothly. You have energy. You sleep well. Your weight stays stable. Your joints don't ache. Your mind is sharp. You feel like YOU.

But when your brain starts losing control — and this happens slowly, over years, sometimes decades — those systems start breaking down. And that's when the symptoms show up. The fatigue. The brain fog. The weight you can't lose. The blood sugar issues. The joint pain. The mood swings. The sleep problems.

And what does conventional medicine do? They treat each symptom separately. One doctor for your blood pressure. Another for your blood sugar. Another for your thyroid. Another for your joints. None of them talking to each other. None of them looking upstream at the thing that's actually causing all of it.

You're not getting healthier. You're becoming a better-managed sick person.

There are eight pathways to disease. And here is the thing I need you to hear. They do not break down one at a time. They compound. One failing pathway drags the next one down. That is why you do not just have one problem. That is why you have the blood sugar AND the joint pain AND the brain fog AND the fatigue all at once. They are all connected. And they compound in the other direction too. Fix one and it starts fixing the others.

So the question is: where do you start?

After 14 years and working with over 1,200 clients, we've found that two pathways consistently show up as what I call the master dominoes. When these fall, they take everything else with them. And when you fix them, everything else starts to recover.

blue and green peacock feather

Metabolic health — because every cell in your body needs energy. When your brain loses control of metabolism, it's like a city-wide power outage. Nothing works.

And inflammatory — because when your brain can't turn off inflammation, it becomes the destroyer. It damages every tissue, disrupts every process, blocks every healing attempt your body makes.

These two feed each other. The metabolic dysfunction drives inflammation. The inflammation worsens metabolic function. They create a vicious cycle that medications alone cannot break — because the medications aren't addressing the root.

But fix them? And the other six pathways start coming back online. That's what we see over and over again.

So today, we're going deep on inflammation. And I want to slow down here for a minute because I need you to really feel this. Not just understand it intellectually. Feel it.

You know what chronic inflammation feels like, even if nobody's ever called it that for you.

It's the stiffness when you wake up in the morning — where your hands don't work right for the first 20 minutes and your knees scream at you going down the stairs. It's the joint pain that never fully goes away — you just learn to live around it. You stop doing certain things. You stop reaching for things on high shelves. You stop getting on the floor. You stop going for walks because it hurts too much afterward.

It's the headaches that come and go for no reason. The bloating after meals. The fatigue that hits you by 2pm no matter how much sleep you got.

It's looking at your grandkids playing on the floor and thinking — I'm not getting down there because I don't know if I can get back up.

That's not aging. That is inflammation.

Even chronic pains like knee pain and back pain can be inflammation-based.

But here's the part that really gets me — and this is personal for me because of what I watched happen with my mother.

If you have inflammation anywhere in your body — your joints, your gut, anywhere — you have it in your brain. Period.

And when you have inflammation in your brain, it's affecting your memory.

It's affecting your ability to think clearly. It's that moment when you walk into a room and forget why you're there. When you can't find the word that's right on the tip of your tongue. When you're reading a page and realize you haven't absorbed a single thing.

Inflammation is not a life sentence.

Those 'senior moments' you're laughing off? That's your brain on fire. And if that fire doesn't get put out, it doesn't stay at forgotten words and foggy afternoons. It progresses. And it doesn't get better on its own.

So the pain in your joints, the fog in your brain, the fatigue in your body, the fear in the back of your mind about where this is all heading — that is all connected. And it all traces back to inflammation.

And here's what I know after 14 years of doing this work: the single fastest way to start bringing that inflammation down — the one lever that can start shifting both your inflammation AND your metabolic health within days, not months — is what you eat.

I don't mean going on a diet. I don't mean counting calories or cutting portions or white-knuckling through some miserable meal plan.

I mean something very specific. Something I actually resisted doing for years. And when I finally did it, it changed everything about my health.

Let me tell you what happened.

I still can't believe sometimes how my life has turned out. We've worked with over 1,200 people individually. I've taught 2.7 million people about brain health. I've stood on stages with doctors like Daniel Amen. I know this science inside and out.

And I still resisted this.

I still can't believe sometimes how my life has turned out. We've worked with over 1,200 people individually. I've taught 2.7 million people about brain health. I've stood on stages with doctors like Daniel Amen. I know this science inside and out.

And I still resisted this.

And the whole time, I was struggling with 20 pounds I could not get off. No matter what I did. My hands were swollen. My ankles were swollen. And my finger joints — the first two fingers on each hand — they were getting so stiff. I started to worry I was getting arthritis. If I used them too much, they would ache for weeks. Sometimes I couldn't even bend them halfway.

I was in my late 40s. I was running a brain health company. And I couldn't fix my own body.

And then one day, I'm on one of our live trainings, and one of our Certified Functional Brain Health Coaches is talking about gluten and dairy. And she says something I'd heard a hundred times before, but it hit me differently this time.

Have you ever had that experience?

Where you've heard something a million times in your life, but it never really sunk in until one day it did? You don't know what changed. Maybe you just weren't ready for it before. And then suddenly, you were.

That's what happened to me.

Carol said that gluten is like sandpaper on your gut lining. And your gut lining is only one cell thick. One cell. And every time you eat gluten, it's like taking sandpaper to that one layer of protection. Over and over and over again. And when that one cell of protection gets scraped away, all the other food and toxins are able to be easily absorbed into your gut.

And something in me just... shifted. I thought — wait. This could be why I keep struggling with my weight for years. I'd stopped drinking. I'd stopped all the other stuff. But I just could not get off those last 20 pounds. Maybe this is it.

Maybe Carol saying that for the hundredth time finally landed with me because I'd tried everything else. And I thought, you know what? Let me try this.

So I committed to 30 days. For 30 days, I ate nothing but whole foods. If I couldn't pick it, catch it, or shoot it, I didn't eat it. No gluten. No dairy. Nothing processed. Just real food that came from the earth, not a factory.

The first week was hard. Your body is used to what it's used to. There's an adjustment.

By day ten, the brain fog I didn't even realize I had started lifting.

By week two, my energy was coming back. Real, steady, sustained energy throughout the entire day. And my sleep. I was sleeping like a rock again for the first time in a long time. For 9 straight hours.

And my finger joints? By the end of the 30 days, I could bend them all the way. No problem. No pain. No stiffness. Nothing.

And the big one. The one that blew my mind. My metabolic health completely reset.

I'm talking — a few months ago, I had three weeks of travel. Three weeks of eating out, not working out, not being on my normal routine at all. Three weeks of what I used to call 'debauchery weekends' except it was three straight weeks.

And I didn't gain a single pound.

Not one.

Before the reset? A weekend like that would've meant five pounds. Easily. And then the entire next week trying to get it off. That was my life for years. Eat well all week, lose a couple pounds, relax on the weekends, gain it all back, just the yo-yo, forever. And now? My body works differently. My metabolic health is back to where it was when I was in my 20s.

That was 2 years ago. And I'm still 80 to 90 percent gluten and dairy free today. Not because someone told me I had to be. Not because I'm on a diet. Because I feel too good to go back.

Do I have some dairy and gluten here and there? Sure. A little cheese at a dinner party? A piece of cake here and there. Yeah. I'm not going to sit at a dinner party and make it weird. But when 80 to 90 percent of the time I'm eating clean, my body stays in a completely different place. My inflammation stays low. My metabolic health stays strong. My energy stays up. My brain stays sharp.

And I'm in my 50s.

Now here's why I'm telling you this. It's not to brag. It's because I want you to know that I understand the resistance. I AM the resistance. I'm the person who had all the knowledge, all the science, all the data — and still wouldn't do it for years. Because I didn't think it applied to me.

And I'm telling you — whatever you think is causing your symptoms, whatever you think you've already tried, whatever you think you already know about your body — give it 30 days. Just 30 days. And see what your body does when you take the fire out.

Because that's exactly what I did. I took out the things that were pouring gasoline on the inflammation. And my body did the rest.

So let me show you exactly what's happening inside your body when inflammation stays elevated — and why the foods you're eating every day are the biggest factor most people never address.

So you just heard what happened for me in 30 days. The energy, the sleep, the joint pain disappearing, the metabolic reset. That's the upside.

Now I need to show you the other side. Because I think a lot of people are walking around inflamed and they don't realize how serious it is. They think it's just some aches and pains. Just getting older. Just part of the deal.

It's not. And I need you to understand what inflammation is actually doing inside your body right now — and where it's taking you if nothing changes.

Inflammation doesn't announce itself. It doesn't show up one day and say, 'Hey, I'm here, you should probably do something about me.' It builds. Slowly. Quietly. Over years.

It starts small. Maybe it's a stiff joint in the morning. A little extra tiredness in the afternoon. A foggy morning here and there. Nothing dramatic. Nothing that sends you to the ER. Just… a slow fade.

And month by month, it chips away at you. Your energy gets a little worse. Your sleep gets a little lighter. Your brain gets a little foggier. Your joints get a little stiffer. And you keep adjusting. You keep lowering the bar for what 'normal' feels like.

Until one day you realize — this isn't one or two things anymore. You're collecting symptoms faster than you can solve them.

And that's the trap.

Right now, 6 in 10 adults in the U.S. live with at least one chronic inflammatory condition. 4 in 10 have two or more. Chronic inflammatory diseases — diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, autoimmune disorders — represent over 85% of total healthcare costs in this country.

That's not a coincidence. That's inflammation driving almost every major disease we associate with aging.

Let me show you how this actually plays out in your body. Because it's not just 'inflammation makes things hurt.' It's way bigger than that.

Let's say your inflammation is running high right now. Maybe from food. Maybe from stress. Maybe from poor sleep. Maybe from years all of it. Here's what's happening that you can't see.

That inflammation is making your cells resistant to insulin.

Now your blood sugar is harder to control. Every time your blood sugar spikes, it creates MORE inflammatory molecules. Which makes your cells MORE resistant to insulin. Which makes your blood sugar swing harder. You're caught in a loop that your medications cannot break — because they're not addressing what's causing the loop.

At the same time, that inflammation is damaging your blood vessels.

They're getting stiffer, narrower. Your circulation is getting worse. Your blood pressure starts creeping up. And when your cells can't get enough oxygen because circulation is compromised, they create massive oxidative stress. They're literally suffocating and rusting from the inside. Which makes the vessels even stiffer.

And your brain? The inflammation in your bloodstream crosses the blood-brain barrier. Now you've got inflammation in your brain tissue. And that's where the fog starts. The memory issues. The word-finding problems. The inability to focus like you used to.

This is the cascade. And once it starts, it feeds itself.

So here's where this goes if you don't intervene.

The joint pain you're feeling now? In five years, that's arthritis. Diagnosed. Medicated.

The brain fog? In 20 years, that's measurable cognitive decline. Your doctor will start using words like 'mild cognitive impairment.'

The blood sugar issues? In seven years, that's type 2 diabetes. Pills. Insulin. Daily monitoring. Complications.

And I'm not telling you this to scare you. I'm telling you this because I watched it happen with my mother. And because these are not hypotheticals. These are the actual timelines researchers see when they track people with chronic inflammation who don't address it.

But here's what should give you real hope

The Diabetes Prevention Program — published in the New England Journal of Medicine — found that lifestyle intervention reduced the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58%. Not a drug. Lifestyle changes. And the benefits lasted more than 10 years.

Another study — BMJ Open Diabetes Research and Care — looked at people with pre-diabetes who made lifestyle changes. 93% did not progress to diabetes. And 43% returned completely to normal. Not managed. Normal.

When researchers reduced inflammation markers by just 50%, cognitive decline dropped by 27%. Not with drugs. Not with surgery. By addressing the inflammation itself.

Your body wants to heal. Your brain wants to get back in control. It just needs you to stop pouring gasoline on the fire.

So now you understand what inflammation is doing to your energy, your pain, your memory, your sleep, your hormones. It's not ten different problems. It's one fire burning through every system in your body.

One fire burning through different rooms of the same house.

And here is the part that should give you real hope. When you start bringing inflammation down, Your brain starts getting clearer. Your energy starts coming back. Your body starts doing what it was designed to do.

But to get there, you have to understand what is driving the inflammation in the first place. And the biggest driver, the one that most people interact with three to five times a day without ever thinking about it, is what you eat. And more specifically, what your food does to your blood sugar every single time you eat. it's not just what you eat, it's how you eat it. And even what you do around your meals

Let me show you what I mean.

So let me introduce you to a concept that is going to completely change how you look at food. Not what you eat. How your body responds to what you eat.

And I want to start with a number that might surprise you.

Eighty-eight percent. That is the percentage of Americans who have dysregulated blood sugar levels.

And most of them have no idea. They have never been diagnosed with diabetes. They have never been told there is a problem. But their blood sugar is quietly doing damage every single day.

What I want to give you today is a better understanding of the connection between blood sugar and brain health, what dysregulation actually feels like in your body, and how you can make a few simple changes starting today that will stabilize your blood sugar, reduce your cravings, protect your brain, and start bringing that inflammation down.

One of the most powerful things we do with our clients is track their blood sugar in real time using continuous glucose monitors. These are small devices that give us a continuous stream of data showing exactly how their body responds to everything they eat, how they sleep, how stress affects them, all of it.

And what we see when clients first start wearing them almost always surprises them. Foods they thought were healthy are spiking their blood sugar dramatically. Stress is raising their glucose even when they have not eaten a single thing. And the patterns that show up explain so much of what they have been experiencing for years.

What this data has taught us, after working with over 1,200 clients, is that most people are running on a blood sugar rollercoaster every single day without knowing it. And that rollercoaster is one of the biggest drivers of the inflammation, the fatigue, the brain fog, and the weight gain they cannot figure out.

Let me show you what we mean."

What is glucose?

Glucose is derived from the carbohydrates you eat. It gets carried into your cells from your bloodstream and used for energy. Your cells need energy to stay alive, and glucose is your body's preferred fuel source. Every single second, your body burns eight billion glucose molecules. That is how important this is.

But here is the thing. Your glucose levels are affected by everything. What you eat. How you sleep. How much you move. How stressed you are.  And when they are consistently dysregulated, they set the stage for metabolic dysfunction and disease.

Now I want to show you something that will make all of this click into place. Think of glucose as the parent, and think of the four types of carbohydrates as the siblings. They are all related, but they have very different personalities.

You have starch, which turns into glucose very quickly in your body and can cause sharp blood sugar spikes. You have fructose and sucrose, which are sugars from fruit that also convert to glucose. And then you have fiber.

Fiber is the different one in the family.

Fiber is the only type of carbohydrate that does not raise your blood sugar levels.

It does not get digested the same way. Instead, it acts as a buffer for everything else you eat. It slows down your body's absorption of glucose, which means a slower, gentler rise in blood sugar instead of a sharp spike.

Here is the problem. Fiber is removed from almost all processed foods because it is not shelf stable. It does not last. So when you eat something that comes from a box or a bag, you are getting straight starch and sugar with no fiber to slow it down. And the result is what we call a glucose spike. A sharp, rapid rise in your blood sugar that sets off a cascade of consequences in your body.

Insulin is a hormone your pancreas produces to help regulate your blood sugar.

When you eat and your blood sugar rises, your pancreas releases insulin to help your cells absorb that glucose and use it for energy.

But here is what happens when you are constantly spiking your blood sugar. Your cells start to become less responsive to insulin. They have been flooded with it so many times that they stop listening. So your pancreas has to produce more and more insulin just to get the same effect.

Think of it like caffeine. Over time, you need more and more to get the same result. Your body builds a tolerance.

And when your cells stop responding to insulin properly, your pancreas keeps producing more trying to compensate. Until eventually it cannot keep up. And that is when we start talking about pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. But long before you get a diagnosis, this insulin resistance is quietly happening, quietly driving inflammation, quietly making it harder to lose weight, quietly affecting your brain.

Now let us talk about what happens to your mitochondria during a glucose spike. Your mitochondria are the energy generators inside your cells. When you flood your system with too much glucose, your mitochondria become overworked. And when they get stressed, they release what are called free radicals.

Free radicals cause oxidative stress. And oxidative stress drives inflammation.

That is what chronic glucose spikes are doing to your brain

Think of it this way. Imagine your brain as the moon. And free radicals are little meteors hitting the surface. One or two is not a big deal. The moon can handle that. But a constant bombardment of meteors, day after day, year after year, starts to do real damage.

And your joints. And your blood vessels. And every other tissue in your body.

Three out of five people will die from an inflammation-based disease. That is not a coincidence. That is what happens when the glucose-inflammation cycle goes unaddressed for decades.

And here is something most people do not know. There is a type of Alzheimer's disease is now commonly referred to in the research as Type 3 Diabetes. Diabetes of the brain. Because the link between blood sugar dysregulation and cognitive decline is that strong. Those with diabetes are four times more likely to develop Alzheimer's than those without.

And the third consequence is what happens to your cells over time. It is called glycation. And I want you to picture this.

Imagine excess glucose molecules in your body as little kids running at full speed on a playground. When there are too many of them moving too fast, they start bumping into things. Into other molecules. Into your proteins. Into your cell walls. And when they bump, they cause damage. And that damage generates heat. And when your cells get hot enough, they die.

This is called glycation. And it is essentially your cells being cooked from the inside.

Here is the phrase I want you to take away from this. You cannot un-toast toast. Once glycation happens, those cells are gone. You cannot reverse it. But you can absolutely slow it down. And the way you slow it down is by keeping your blood sugar stable so those little kids stop running into everything.

Now let me show you what dysregulated blood sugar actually looks like by the numbers. Because I want you to understand where the danger zones are.

Hypoglycemia is when your blood sugar drops too low, below 50 to 70 mg/dl. You may know this feeling. Dizziness, shakiness, confusion, anxiety. Sometimes it happens a few hours after a meal when your insulin spikes too high and then your blood sugar crashes. This is called reactive hypoglycemia, and it is more common than most people realize.

For me I used to get hypoglycemic at night and I would wake up. Can't tell you how many times I saw 2:14 on that clock in the middle of the night and I always attributed it to stress. It turns out that I was hypoglycemic and my blood sugar was falling too low. My body was waking me up, saying, "Hey you're hungry, your blood sugar is too low." I didn't feel hungry so I did nothing about it. Even though we typically give general advice not to eat a couple of hours before going to bed, when I looked inside my body my body actually needs food before I go to bed to last me all night. It was an instant fix.

On the other end, hyperglycemia is when your blood sugar is consistently elevated above 140 mg/dl. This is the pre-diabetes zone. And over time, without intervention, it becomes full type 2 diabetes with all of the complications that come with it.

The goal is to stay out of both extremes. To have rolling hills instead of sharp peaks and deep valleys throughout your day.

How do you actually do this? How do you stabilize your blood sugar without overhauling your entire life or giving up every food you enjoy?

I want to give you the method that has been more effective in our community than almost anything else we teach. And I want to credit the researcher whose work really put this framework on the map. Her name is Jessie Inchauspé, a French biochemist who has dedicated her work to finding simple, sustainable ways to improve blood sugar. You may know her as the Glucose Goddess.

What I am about to teach you is grounded in her research, and it is something you can start using at your very next meal.

First I want you to picture your digestive system as a sink.

Your esophagus is the faucet. Your stomach is the sink bowl. And your small intestines are the pipes.

Now, normally when we look at a sink, we want the water to flow through as quickly as possible. No blockages, no delays, straight through.

But with your digestive system, you actually want the opposite. You want to slow that flow down as much as possible. Because the slower your food is digested, the more time your body has to process the carbohydrates you eat, and the lower and gentler your blood sugar rise will be.

So the question is, how do you slow the flow?

The answer is food order. And this is one of the simplest, most immediately actionable things I am going to teach you today.

Every time you eat a meal, eat your food in this specific order. Fiber first. Protein and fat second. Carbohydrates last.

That is it. Same food. Same amount. Just a different order.

Here is why it works. When you eat fiber first, it creates a kind of mesh or lining in your small intestine. Think of it like putting a strainer in the sink before you pour anything down it. That mesh slows down how quickly glucose can get into your bloodstream. It reduces the activity of the enzyme that breaks starch down into glucose. It slows the emptying of your stomach.

Without fiber going first, carbohydrates get fire-hosed directly into your bloodstream and your blood sugar skyrockets. With fiber first, the same carbohydrates enter slowly and gently.

And here is the data that makes people's jaws drop.

Practicing food order can cut a glucose spike by up to 75 percent. Look at these two images from a real client. Same meal. Same amount of food. Completely different order. The spike on the left is what happens when you eat carbs first. The curve on the right is what happens when you eat fiber first, then protein and fat, then carbs.

Same food. Different order. Seventy-five percent reduction in the spike.

This is not a small tweak. This is a fundamental change in how your body responds to every single meal you eat for the rest of your life.

Never eat a naked carb.

What that means is that any time you eat a carbohydrate, you pair it with fiber, protein, or fat. Or ideally all three.

Having an apple? Have it with almond butter. Having bread? Add a good spread of butter or avocado. Having pasta? Make sure there are vegetables and a clean protein in that bowl.

The more diversity on your plate, the gentler your blood sugar response will be. And the gentler your blood sugar response, the less inflammation you are generating with every single meal.

Now sometimes food order is not possible. Maybe you are eating a soup or a sandwich and you cannot exactly eat the ingredients in a specific sequence. In those cases, the principle of food combining applies.

Make sure every meal and every snack contains all four of these components. Fiber, protein, fat, and carbohydrate. And as much as possible, lean toward that order.

And here is a little gift in all of this. If you are going to have something sweet, have it as dessert after a complete meal, not as a standalone snack. Dessert after a meal with fiber, protein, and fat is infinitely better for your blood sugar than a cookie or a piece of chocolate by itself in the afternoon. Have what you want and add what you need.

And if you are wondering what counts as what, here is a simple breakdown. Fiber includes broccoli, Brussels sprouts, lettuce, green beans, asparagus, mushrooms, and kale. Protein includes chicken, salmon, eggs, turkey, and fish. Fat includes olive oil, avocado, nuts, nut butters, coconut oil, flax seeds, and chia seeds. And carbohydrates include rice, sweet potato, quinoa, fruit, oats, and bread.

The goal is to make sure fiber and protein and fat are always on the plate before the carbs show up.

The second tool is movement after meals.

Studies show that engaging in exercise within 70 minutes of eating a meal can reduce your glucose spike by up to 30 percent. And you do not need a full workout to see this benefit. A ten-minute walk after dinner does the job.

Your muscles use glucose for energy. So when you move after a meal, you are essentially putting your food to work instead of storing it. You are giving that glucose somewhere to go so it does not just sit in your bloodstream.

This is one of the simplest habits you can add starting tonight.

One more thing I want you to understand before we talk about what to do next. Stress affects your blood sugar even when you have not eaten a single thing.

When you are stressed, your body releases cortisol. Cortisol puts you into fight or flight mode. And in fight or flight mode, your body pulls glucose out of its reserves to give you quick energy to respond to the threat. So you can get a blood sugar spike from a stressful phone call, a difficult conversation, or a hard day at work with no food involved at all.

And on top of that, stress makes you more insulin resistant. So the same amount of food hits harder when you are stressed than when you are calm. This is why your food choices feel so much harder to control during stressful periods. Your body is working against you at a physiological level.

Again for me when I was monitoring my blood sugar, the biggest spike was an argument with my then-husband. It was shocking to see how much stress affected my metabolic health, much more so than food for me.

And finally, sleep and blood sugar are deeply connected in both directions.

Poor sleep raises your average blood sugar the following day. And eating poorly the night before causes blood sugar rollercoasters while you sleep, which disrupts your sleep quality. They feed each other.

So when you start stabilizing your blood sugar with the tools I just gave you, your sleep often improves on its own. And when your sleep improves, your blood sugar gets easier to manage. That is a cycle working in your favor for once.

The absolute 1 thing you must do.

I hope you are seeing now is that these are not separate problems. They are all connected to the same root cause. Inflammation. Driven largely by what is happening with your Metabolic Health -  your blood sugar every single time you eat.

You now have real tools you can start using today. Eat fiber first. Never eat a naked carb. Take a walk after dinner. Give yourself at least four hours between meals so your gut lining can repair.

These tools will make a difference. I promise you that.

But here is what I know after all these years of doing this work. These tools are fighting against a system that is still on fire. And as long as that fire is burning, you are managing the damage. You are not reversing it.

But if you came to me today and said, 'Julia, I can only do ONE thing — what gives me the fastest result?' — I would tell you the same thing every time.

Change what you're eating.

Not forever. Not perfectly. For 30 days.

But goes way deeper than that. And this is the part that changed everything for me when I understood it.

SLIDE

Our Certified Functional Brain Health Coach teaches this, and when I first heard it, it stopped me in my tracks as I mentioned this earlier.

And remember, your gut lining — the barrier between the food you eat and your bloodstream — is one cell thick. One cell. That's it. That's all that stands between what's in your digestive tract and the rest of your body.

Think about that for a second. One cell is the wall. One cell is the gate. One cell decides what gets through and what doesn't.

When that lining is healthy, it's selective. It lets nutrients through — vitamins, minerals, amino acids — the things your body needs. And it keeps everything else out. The waste, the toxins, the undigested food particles, the chemicals — they stay on the other side of the wall and get eliminated.

But when that lining gets damaged — when it gets irritated over and over and over again by processed foods, by chemicals, by inflammatory ingredients — it starts to break down. It develops tiny gaps. Tiny holes. And now things are getting through that should never get through.

This is what people call leaky gut. Now, that's not a clinical diagnosis — it's not something your doctor will write on your chart. But intestinal permeability is real. It's measurable. And when it happens, those chemicals, those toxins, those undigested food particles — they're slipping through the wall. They're getting into your bloodstream. They're traveling through your entire body.

And your immune system sees them as invaders. So it attacks. And that attack? That's inflammation.

But there's one more piece of this I need you to understand. Because this is where the science gets really exciting.

The food you eat doesn't just affect your gut. It talks to your genes.

Every time you eat, the nutrients in that food send signals to your DNA. They can turn genes on or turn genes off. They can tell your cells to produce more inflammation or less inflammation. More insulin resistance or better insulin sensitivity. More oxidative stress or more antioxidant protection.

This is called epigenetics. And it means that your genes aren't your destiny. Your genes are more like light switches. And the food you eat every day is flipping those switches.

So when you eat inflammatory foods three, four, five times a day for years — you're sending the signal: make more inflammation. Resist insulin. Damage the vessels. Store fat. Age faster.

But when you eat anti-inflammatory foods? You're sending the opposite signal. Calm down. Repair. Heal. Protect.

Same genes. Different switches.

It's not just WHAT you eat. It's also HOW OFTEN

Your gut lining has these little things — I'm simplifying here — but think of them like cleaning crews. They come out between meals and they repair the cells. They clean up damage. They restore the barrier.

But they need about four hours to do their job. It feels like there's been a constant argument for years whether or not you should eat multiple small meals throughout the day or two or three large meals. While we can say with assurance now, especially for your brain health and your gut health, it should be at least four hours between meals.

If you're eating every two hours — snacking all day long, grazing constantly — those cleaning crews never get a chance to come out. Your gut lining never gets repaired. It just keeps taking damage without any time to heal.

So part of what we do isn't just changing what you eat. It's also changing when you eat. Giving your body the space it needs to actually heal itself.

So now you understand that food is talking to your gut, your genes, your immune system every single day. You understand that what you eat is either calming inflammation or feeding it.

How do you figure out which foods are YOUR problem?

Because here's what I need you to understand. There is no universal list. There's no blood test that's going to tell you everything you need to know. There's no doctor who can look at you and say, "Your inflammation is coming from dairy and gluten and tomatoes."

Your body has to tell you.

And there is one methodology — one diagnostic tool — that is considered the gold standard for figuring out what's driving YOUR inflammation.

It's called an elimination diet.

Now, I know what some of you just thought. You heard "diet" and elimination you thought, "Oh no, here we go. Another restrictive eating plan. Another thing I have to white-knuckle through."

This is not that.

An elimination diet is not about losing weight. It's not about deprivation. It's a diagnostic tool. It's a process. It's how you turn your body into the laboratory and get answers that no test can give you.

Here's how it works.

Phase one: Elimination. For 30 days, you remove the most common inflammatory triggers from your diet. We're talking about the foods that show up over and over again in the research as drivers of inflammation for the majority of people.

For 30 days, they're out.

And in their place? Real food. Whole food. Food that came from the earth, not a factory. Vegetables. Fruits. Clean proteins. Healthy fats. Food your great-grandmother would recognize.

You're not starving. You're not restricting calories. You're eating plenty. You're just eating clean.

Phase two: Healing. And this is the part most people don't understand.

Those 30 days aren't just about avoiding triggers. They're about giving your body time to HEAL. Remember that one-cell-thick gut lining? The one that's been taking damage for years? It needs time to repair. Your immune system needs time to calm down. Your inflammation markers need time to drop.

The research shows it takes a minimum of 30 days for that healing to happen. Not two weeks. Not "I'll try it for a few days and see how I feel." Thirty days. That's the window your body needs to reset.

Phase three: Reintroduction. And this is where the magic happens.

After 30 days, you start adding foods back. One at a time. Methodically. Carefully.

You add gluten back for three days. And you watch. How do you feel? Did the joint pain come back? Did the brain fog return? Did your energy crash? Did you sleep worse?

Then you add dairy back. Same process. 1-2 days. Watch. Wait.

Sugar. Same thing.

By the end of this process, you're not guessing anymore. You're not wondering, "Is it the bread? Is it the cheese? Is it something else entirely?"

You KNOW.

Your body told you.

This is personalized medicine.
Not a generic list you found on the internet. Not what worked for your friend or your sister or someone on Instagram.

This is YOUR inflammation map. Your body's specific triggers. The foods that light YOUR fire.

Because here's what we see over and over again in our work. One person reintroduces gluten and feels terrible. Another person reintroduces gluten and feels fine. But then they reintroduce dairy and their joints blow up within 48 hours.

There is no one-size-fits-all. That's why the elimination diet is the gold standard. It's the only way to get YOUR answers.

And here's what happens during those 30 days that you can't see but your body is doing.

Your gut lining is repairing. Those tight junctions — the gates that decide what gets into your bloodstream — they're closing back up. Your immune system is calming down. Your inflammation markers are dropping. Your insulin sensitivity is improving. Your blood vessels are getting more flexible. Your brain inflammation is clearing.

This is not about willpower. This is about giving your body a chance to do what it's designed to do — heal itself — without you constantly throwing gasoline on the fire.

Now, why 30 days? Why not just two weeks? Why not three days and see what happens?

Because healing takes time.

Studies on intestinal permeability show that it takes a minimum of four weeks for the gut lining to significantly repair when you remove irritants. Some people need longer, but 30 days is the baseline.

And inflammation markers — C-reactive protein, IL-6, TNF-alpha — these take three to four weeks to come down after you remove the triggers. Not overnight. Not in a few days. Weeks.

Your body is undoing years of damage. It needs time.

So that's the protocol. Thirty days of elimination. Healing while you eliminate. Then systematic reintroduction to find your triggers.

This is how you use food as medicine. Not by adding a superfood smoothie to an otherwise inflammatory diet. Not by taking supplements to counteract the damage. By removing the damage, letting your body heal, and learning what it actually needs.

Now here's what I know from 14 years of doing this work.

You're sitting here right now, and you believe this. You understand the science. You get why this is the methodology. You're ready to do it.

And I love that. I do.

But I also know what happens next. Because I've watched thousands of people get to this exact moment — excited, motivated, ready to start — and then struggle to actually execute it.

Not because they don't want it. Not because they're not capable.

But because they don't have the roadmap.

And that's exactly what I want to talk about next. Because there's a specific reason most people who try to do an elimination diet on their own don't make it past the first week.

It's not because they don't want it. It's not because they're not smart enough or disciplined enough.

I could stand here and walk you through every single food to remove and why. I could give you the full list. I could tell you exactly what to eat instead. I could teach you the whole reintroduction protocol.

But here's the thing. Here's why most people fail at this.

Here's what goes wrong

They don't prep. They wake up on day one, open the fridge, and realize they have nothing to eat. So they grab whatever's there. Or they skip breakfast. Or they end up at a drive-through because they're starving and unprepared.

Or they make it to day four. And they feel awful. Headaches. Fatigue. Brain fog that's worse than before. And they think — this isn't working. Something's wrong. I'm done. But that's not 'not working.' That's withdrawal. That's your body letting go of the things it's been dependent on. And if you know that's coming, you push through. But if you don't? You quit.

Or they think elimination means restriction. So they starve themselves. They eat salads for every meal. They're miserable. And by day seven they're so hungry and so miserable that they give up.

Or they make it all the way to day 30. They feel amazing. And then they go right back to eating the way they were before. And within a week, all the symptoms come back. And they think — well, I guess that didn't work after all.

But it did work. They just skipped the most important part — the reintroduction. The part where you find out what YOUR specific triggers are.

I was lucky. I had Carol in my ear. I had our whole team of Certified Functional Brain Health Coaches around me. I needed her saying 'sandpaper on your gut' for the hundredth time before it landed. I had every resource available to me and I still resisted for years.

Imagine trying to do this without any of that. Without knowing what to expect. Without knowing what to eat. Without knowing how to reintroduce foods properly. Without a single day-by-day roadmap to follow.

That's why most people fail. Not because the science doesn't work. Because they don't have the protocol.

And that's exactly why I built our Inflammation Reset Program.

After doing my own 30-day reset — after watching what it did for my body, my energy, my metabolic health, my joints — I thought, I need to make this available to everyone. Not as part of our full Brain First Program, which is a 3 month, 6 month, even up to 12 month personalized deep dive. But I wanted to make this a standalone experience. Something you can start immediately. Something focused on this ONE thing — getting inflammation under control through food.

For six weeks you get a complete, guided protocol that takes you from where you are right now to the other side of your inflammation. We even test and look inside your body. Knowing exactly what your body needs, what your triggers are, and how to eat for the rest of your life.

Now let me walk you through exactly what you're getting and why each piece matters.

Week 1 is your Prep Week. Before you change a single thing you eat, you're going to be ready. You'll clean out your pantry. You'll go shopping with a list we give you. You'll learn how to meal prep so you're never standing in the kitchen at 6pm wondering what to make. You'll know exactly what to expect — physically, emotionally, mentally. Most people who fail at this fail because they skip this step. Not you. Not this time.

Weeks 2 through 5 — that's your 30 days of elimination. This is the reset itself. For 30 days, you remove the foods that are driving your inflammation and replace them with real, whole, anti-inflammatory food.

You have your own personal inflammation map.

Week 6 is Reintroduction. And this is the part that changes everything. This is where you stop following a protocol and start learning YOUR body. You add foods back one at a time — methodically, carefully — and you watch what happens. Does gluten trigger your joint pain? Does dairy bring back the fog? Does sugar crash your energy?

By the end of week 6, you do not just feel better. You know. You know exactly what your body can handle and what it cannot. You have your own personal inflammation map.

So let me show you exactly what you are getting and how we are going to support you every single day to make sure you stick with it.

When you join us in our 6 week Inflammation Reset Program, you will get a short guidance video from me every single morning for 6 weeks in our core program,. Five to eight minutes. That's it.

Here's why they're short. Because I'm not trying to teach you a masterclass every morning. I'm giving you ONE thing to focus on. One percent better today than you were yesterday. That's the strategy. Small, daily changes that compound.

Some days, I'm walking you through what to expect. Some days I'm telling you why you have a headache and why that means it's working. 7 days into the elimination diet, I'm explaining why your energy might feel flat right now and what's happening in your cells. Day ten — I'm celebrating with you because your sleep is shifting.

Some days, I'm keeping you motivated. Because on day 15, when you're tired of meal prep and you just want a slice of pizza, you need someone in your ear reminding you why you started this. I'm that person.

Some days, I'm educating you. What's happening in your gut right now? Why does meal spacing matter? How do you know if a food is actually inflammatory for YOU?

And some days, I'm having you check in with yourself and measure results. How are you feeling? What's different? What are you noticing?

You're not doing this alone. I'm with you every single day. Before you start your day, you hear from me. That's the accountability. That's the consistency. That's why people finish this program.

Second: The Complete Anti-Inflammatory Food System

You're getting everything you need to eat clean for 6 weeks without thinking too hard about it.

You're getting everything you need to eat clean for 6 weeks without thinking too hard about it.

You get the Master Grocery Shopping List — organized by category so you're not wandering the aisles wondering what you can eat. You walk in, you buy what's on the list, you're done.

You get Five Rotating Meal Plans — breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. Whole, real food. Easy to prepare. And they rotate so you're not eating the same thing every single day. Variety. Flavor. Real food that actually tastes good.

You get the Meal Prep Guide — because here's the truth: if you don't prep, you fail. Week one, Sunday afternoon, you're going to spend two hours getting ready for the week. And then every morning, you're not standing in your kitchen at 6am wondering what to eat. You open the fridge, it's there, you eat it. Done

This is the system that removes the guesswork. You're not Googling "what can I eat on an elimination diet" at 9pm when you're starving. You've got the roadmap. You follow it. It works.

So here is what I just added to this program that I am genuinely excited about.

We send an hs-CRP inflammation blood test

After you complete your 30-day elimination, we send an hs-CRP inflammation blood test directly to your home. You do not go to a lab. You do not ask your doctor to order anything. It arrives at your door.

The hs-CRP test measures your high sensitivity C-reactive protein. That is one of the most clinically reliable markers of systemic inflammation in your body. The same marker researchers use when they study chronic disease, cognitive decline, and metabolic dysfunction.

It shows us what your body still needs.

We test you after the reset because we know the protocol works. Thirty days of removing inflammatory foods will bring those markers down. What we want to know is where yours land. Because when you hold that result in your hands and see exactly where your inflammation stands at a cellular level after 30 days of commitment, something shifts. It is no longer about how you feel on any given day. It is about what the science says. And now you have the science.

Personal results review call with the Brain Health Advisor

And here is the other thing that test does. It shows us what your body still needs. Because the reset is the beginning, not the finish line. Some people complete it and their numbers look remarkable and they know exactly how to maintain it. Others complete it and their numbers show us there are deeper layers still to address, layers that go beyond food alone. Either way you are not guessing. You have data. Real data about your specific body.

And then you get a personal results review call with the brain health advisor that I personally trained where we go through your numbers together. We tell you exactly what they mean. We celebrate how far you have come. And we map out precisely where to go from here.

This is your inflammation baseline after the reset. This is the moment where everything you just did for 30 days becomes undeniable. And that conversation is where your next chapter begins.

So that's the core program. The 6 weeks of guidance and direction giving you one percent changes every single day. The complete food system so you know exactly what to eat and how to prepare it.

But I didn't stop there.

Because here's what I know from 14 years of doing this work. The people who succeed don't just change what they eat. They track their progress. They see the changes happening in real time. They stay accountable to themselves.

Bonus #1: 10 Pillars of Brain Health Tracking System

This is my personal daily tracking system. Every single day, you're going to rate yourself on my 10 pillars of brain health. Sleep. Stress. Movement. Nutrition. Connection. Purpose. All ten.

Takes two minutes in the evening. You rate where you are. You track your symptoms. Joint pain — is it better today? Brain fog — did it lift? Energy — how's it comparing to last week?

And then at the end of 6 weeks, you look back. You see the trajectory. You see the progress in black and white. You're not guessing whether this is working. You KNOW it's working because you watched it happen day by day.

This is the accountability tool that keeps you honest. And it's yours free with the program.

Bonus #2: 6 weeks of Access to the Wellness Gym

Now this one — this is huge. This is the game-changer.

The Wellness Gym is our private online community. It's where over 1,200 people have gone through my programs. And for 6 weeks, you're getting access.

Here's what that means.

You're not doing this alone in your kitchen, wondering if you're the only one struggling. You're surrounded by people doing this WITH you. Same week. Same challenges. Same wins.

You're in front of our Certified Functional Brain Health Coaches. These are the people who walked me through my own reset. They're answering questions. They're troubleshooting. They're guiding you.

This is why people finish this program. Because they're not alone. They're doing it with us.

Bonus #3: My 10 Pillars of Brain Health Training Series

And here is a bonus that I do not think you are expecting.

When our private one on one clients are working with us, one of the things we have them do alongside their coaching is go through our 10 Pillars of Brain Health Video Series. This is the foundational training that sits at the core of everything we do in our high level programs. And I am including it here.

Here is why this matters.

Inflammation does not happen in a vacuum. It is not just about food. Your sleep affects your inflammation. Your stress affects it. Your movement affects it. Your social connections affect it. Your sense of purpose affects it. Each one of these pillars is either adding to the fire or helping put it out.

The 10 Pillars series walks you through all ten of these levers one by one. You are going to understand exactly how each one connects to your inflammation, your metabolic health, and your brain health. Not in a generic way. In a specific, actionable way.

And here is what makes it so powerful alongside the reset. When you are inside the Wellness Gym working live with our coaches and our community, you are not just talking about food. You are working on all ten pillars. And because you have watched the series, you understand why. You are not just following instructions. You understand the science behind every single thing you are doing.

That is what separates the people who get results and keep them from the people who feel better for a few weeks and slide back. They see the full picture. They know which levers to pull. And they have a community around them pulling those levers together.

This is normally something only our private clients experience. This series is yours the moment you enroll. And honestly? It is worth the investment on its own.

Lifetime Access to All Content

Everything I just described — the 6 weeks of daily guidance, the meal plans, the shopping lists, the trackers — you own it. For life.

Start when you're ready. Go at your own pace. And here's why that matters.

I do this reset every year to 18 months. Because life happens. Travel happens. Holidays happen. Stress happens. And my inflammation creeps back up. So I reset. I go back through the program. I clean it up. And I'm back.

You can do the same thing. This isn't a one-time fix. This is a tool you'll use for the rest of your life. Whenever you need it. It's yours.

Now, some of you are going to want more than just the core program. You're going to want direct support, you're going to want more accountability. You're going to want to be there to ask one of our certified Functional Brain Health Coaches in person what to do when you're stuck. I know for me, I like the additional layer of accountability and support. So here's what we've put together for the people who really want the support.

The 6-Week Inflammation Reset — Premium

You get everything I just described. The Daily Guidance. Every meal plan. Every tracker. 6 weeks of wellness gyms, the hs-crp inflammation test with a call with a  Brain Health Advisor to review the results and  my 10 Pillars of Brain Health video trainings.

But because we know that you want that extra layer of accountability, and maybe you want a little extra time to do the program, and you want more personal advice, we have given you three amazing upgrades for those who choose to go premium

First upgrade you get is extended Access. You get 90 days to complete the program instead of 42. And 90 days of Wellness Gym access to come do our 10 pillars of brain health live, with our functional brain health coaches. Life happens. Travel, holidays, a rough week. You've got breathing room.

Upgrade #2: Bi weekly Group Calls with one of our Certified Functional Brain Health Coaches

And they are going to walk you through this personally. Every other week we host group calls specifically for the Inflammation Reset Premium participants. These are small groups where you get to ask us anything you want, talk about your struggles you're having, and you get them every other week throughout the length of your program.

The first call happens in your first week. Before you start elimination. we walk you through prep. We answer your questions live. We troubleshoots your specific situation. What if you travel for work? What if you have a picky family? What if you're vegetarian? We handle all of it. Real-time.

Then you get bi weekly accountability calls to keep you on progress, all through your reintroduction. This is where we fine-tunes your protocol on these calls. We prepare you for what's coming. We make sure you're set up to learn your triggers correctly.

All calls are recorded. If you can't make it live, you watch the replay. But you're getting direct access to expert guidance. Live support.

Third, and this one is big, you get our Personalized Inflammation Assessment Report. After you enroll, you fill out a detailed intake — your symptoms, your health history, your biggest challenges. And you receive a customized inflammation report tailored to your specific situation. Where should you focus first? What should you watch for? Where is your inflammation coming from? You get that assessment within one week.

This isn't a generic report. This is YOUR roadmap. Built for you. Based on your body. Your history. Your symptoms.

So let’s get to how much this all costs.

Now let me ask you something. How much are you spending right now on things that aren't working? I know most people are spending hundreds of dollars every month on supplements. On copays. On medications that manage symptoms but don't fix anything.

How much? $300-$500/month?

You're lighting that money on fire and your inflammation isn't going down. So what if you took just one month of that spending and put it toward something that actually addresses the root cause?

So here's what you're actually investing in when you join the 6-Week Inflammation Reset.

I want to walk you through both options, the core and the premium — because I've built this with two different levels of support. And I want you to pick the one that's right for where you are right now.

Let me start with Premium. This is the fully-supported experience.

  • You get six weeks of daily guidance videos from me.
  • You get the complete Anti-Inflammatory Food System
  • The shopping lists
  • 5 rotating meal plans
  • The meal prep guides

The only difference? You don't get the extended 90-day timeline. You don't get the live accountability calls with A certified Functional Brain Health Practitioner. And you don't get the personalized inflammation assessment report. But you get the complete system. Everything you need to do this successfully.

Core is normally $897, but for today it is $497. We even have payment plans for this to make it attainable for everybody.
This offer is available today only. then it's done. This pricing won't come back.

And the Premium tier — I'm capping those spots at 20. We have to. Because every single personalized inflammation assessment takes real time to create individually. Once those 20 spots are taken, your only option is the $497 Core tier.

So if you want Premium — don't wait.

But because you've now stayed the whole time, I want to reward you with even more. If you use the coupon code RESET10 at checkout, you will save another 10% off these listed prices on either program. Write that down right now.

RESET10

You should see a button that just popped up for you. Go ahead and click on that button. It's above the chat. It’s going to take you to a page where you can choose your package Premium or Core. You pick your payment plan — pay in full or break it into three payments. And the second you enroll, you get instant access.

You're taken directly to your first welcome video. And that starts today.

Now, I know some of you are thinking — "Julia, I want to do this, but I can't start today. I've got travel coming up. I've got my birthday coming up. I've got a crazy two weeks at work."

Here's what I want you to hear. You set the clock. After you register you will get a link. Now, the Wellness Gym access — that is time-limited. Core gets forty-two days. Premium gets 90 days. So that clock does start when you click your start button on your watch. But everything else? The videos, the meal plans, the system? That's yours for life.

And here's the other thing.

You won't find this offer on our website. This isn't something you can go look up later. This is a one-time offer for the people on this call.

So even if you can't start for another week or two — get in today. Lock in your spot. Lock in this price. Get access to everything.

And start when you're ready.

Your inflammation isn't going to fix itself. Your body is waiting for you to do something different. This is it. This is the roadmap. Don't wait.

Before I let you go, I want to say something.

You showed up today. And that tells me something about you.

It tells me you're not done fighting for yourself.

So I charge you — to stop treating your body like it's broken and start treating it like it's waiting to heal. Because it is.

I charge you — to stop accepting inflammation as normal. It's not normal. It's not aging. It's a fire that can be put out.

I charge you — to discover what YOUR body actually needs.

And I charge you — to stop waiting. Not tomorrow. Not Monday. Today. Right now. While this fire is still lit inside you.

Because the person you're becoming is being built right now. By what you choose to do next.
